Home Wine Maker Guidelines and Rules - HOME WINE MAKERS 2011
12-15 lbs of red grapes are needed to make one gallon of juice.
Making your own wine is an enjoyable and educational hobby. If you would like to become a winemaker, Lemon Creek is here to help! With the moderating effects of the lake, our clay/loam soil, and grape growing skills, honed over the last 50 years, we can offer the most important part of making good wine, start with good grapes. If you would like to become a winemaker please call 269-471-1321 or email your order to winery@lemoncreekwinery.com.
Please call ahead to place your order. We begin taking orders August 16th. Remember, Lemon Creek does not provide any containers so you must bring your own. Make sure that you have enough containers to hold your entire order. The event is held on two separate weekends. The first is typically mid-September and the second round early October. The events are weather dependent and we will not harvest the grapes until they are ready. We will call 2 weeks in advance to let you know when the grapes will be ready.
